Hedgehog Hall
Hedgehog Hall with Hot Tub Kent
A wood-fired hot tub in a cabin at the edge of ancient woodland – that’s Hedgehog Hall in one line. Nordic in style and built for two adults and two children across a day bed and bunk beds, it sits in its own private corner of Landews Meadow with Kings Wood at the door and nothing else around you.
Where our other two stays heat at the flick of a switch, Hedgehog Hall’s tub is wood-fired – you build the fire yourself and watch it come up to heat, and there’s a different kind of satisfaction in a soak you’ve earned rather than switched on. It’s slower, and that’s rather the point of coming here.
Eleven minutes from Chilham, the footpath to Domaine Evremond and the vineyards of the Kent Downs, Hedgehog Hall is the most secluded of what we offer – a genuine woodland cabin, not a cottage with trees nearby.
Wood-fired, private, and yours for the whole stay
The tub is exclusive to Hedgehog Hall and kept ready for guests year-round – a January soak with the fire going and frost on the ground outside is one of the best things this cabin does.
Walk into Kings Wood in the afternoon, light the tub before dinner, and by the time you’re back in the water the light’s usually going. It’s a short version of the whole reason people come to Landews Meadow in the first place.
